Chimney Lining

If you’re getting a new working fire fitted, you’re going to need to ensure your chimney’s fit for purpose. Available across Wiltshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire, our chimney services can make sure it’s safe. Talk to Theale Fireplaces in Reading to find out more.

Do I need to check my chimney?

Your chimney plays an important part in ventilating your fireplace, removing harmful combustion gases and giving you a more thorough and efficient burn. Our team in Reading will start by carrying out a survey and testing your chimney to make sure it’s safe to use and can identify any potential issues. We’re also Gas Safe and HETAS registered, so if you’d like us to take a look at your fire while we’re there then let us know.

Chimney systems and lining

Over time, smoke and heat can start to erode the inner structure of your chimney. Adding in a liner helps to prevent overheating and corrosion of the flue, helping to prolong the life of your chimney. Our team cover Wiltshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire, and are happy to take a look. We also have a range of fires which don’t require a chimney if you decide it’s time for a change.

Chimney fans

Whether you’ve got a fireplace, fire or woodburning stove, you need to make sure that it gets enough air to keep it burning. Adding a chimney fan helps to regulate the draught and make your fire much easier to light. Once the new fan’s been installed, we recommend getting it checked every 12 months to keep it clean and avoid it getting clogged. Call our team in Reading to arrange a free quote.
